I prefer Christopher in conversation. In writing, I use C L Couch because it’s a genderless form of my name and, frankly, easier—I have severe writer’s cramp. I mean to be a poet writing spiritual and occasional verse. The photographs used permanently here—for the banner, for my profile—were taken by Debra Danielson, a photographer and friend. You may enjoy more of her work at debra.danielson.org. If you would credit me when quoting my work, I'd be thankful. As I am thankful for your presence here.

A great poem for a polarizing topic. I see this relevance in the current gun chaos in America. Thousands of lives have been loss. To own or not to own a gun is surely a debatable cause.

Yes, it is debatable. In England, it’s been traditional for farmers and hunters to have guns with the rest held to be used by law enforcement and the military. And violent deaths, overall, have been low there sadly in contrast to the USA. But then, tragically, criminals have guns. If the general populace (all) had guns, would that work against the criminals’ weaponry? I don’t know. Hence the debate, I guess.
Thanks for your thoughtful comments. And, technically, for pointing out I left the title off the post, which I have now added. Hope you’re very well–and safe!

Yes. Indeed we have no answers to these question. But we are united in one thing, we don’t want lives to be wasted just because of irresponsible use of guns.
