Cosmology
(who we are, materially)
I look away
Not always with my eyes
And I think
I cannot see my thought
I cannot see yours
Though I might fancy
In the expression of your
Eyes, your face, your
Body lines
That I know something about
What’s going on inside
Of you
And if you want something
(Hopefully good) from
Me
And I can become
Frustrated knowing that the
Container of my thoughts
Is simply this body
Nothing more
How do we get together
How do I get myself
Over to you
Maybe I don’t
At least not for now
Somehow electric thought
Remains inside flesh
And form, which
Move if my synapses
Are moving
For the better day
When we can do better
Than this to have,
To hold each other

Hey to you!
Simplicity is good. Thank you for seeing and for saying that. In vanity, I guess, I like the compliment of “magic” even better!
Thanks!

Another fine piece–I love “container of my thoughts”; according to my scale I have a whole lotta thoughts packed inside!

Yes, you do! Your having “thoughts packed inside!” sounds right(!). It’s great when you express them. Win-win for all!
Thanks!

I am so happy to see your imagery take over your verses one poem at a time. I loved the idea of the electric thought flashing. Beautiful work Christopher!
Please have a marvelous week ahead!

I’m glad you like the phrase electric thought. Honestly, I do, too.

I don’t know how tabs and margins and pingbacks might work. So if the comment below didn’t get to you, it was supposed to. So maybe only one of us has the great mind, I guess. And I’ll keep trying.

Yes, great minds. Positively.
