I prefer Christopher in conversation. In writing, I use C L Couch because it’s a genderless form of my name and, frankly, easier—I have severe writer’s cramp. I mean to be a poet writing spiritual and occasional verse. The photographs used permanently here—for the banner, for my profile—were taken by Debra Danielson, a photographer and friend. You may enjoy more of her work at debra.danielson.org. If you would credit me when quoting my work, I'd be thankful. As I am thankful for your presence here.

Love this psalm, as I do the others 🙂

I’m delighted you respond this way. Thank you!

I so want to write some of my own, but don’t want to appear as though I’m “copying” you…so I’ll continue in prayer as to what creative direction to take. Thanks for the inspiration 🙂

Praying, of course, is the right way to find direction. I simply use the probably universal understanding that a psalm is a song to God. And go from there. I’m sure when you try the form your way it will go creatively and successfully.

Ohhh!! Earth-infancy – I absolutely love that line! 🙂

Yeah, I kind of like it, too. The way the Earth was given for us to care for.
