I prefer Christopher in conversation. In writing, I use C L Couch because it’s a genderless form of my name and, frankly, easier—I have severe writer’s cramp. I mean to be a poet writing spiritual and occasional verse. The photographs used permanently here—for the banner, for my profile—were taken by Debra Danielson, a photographer and friend. You may enjoy more of her work at debra.danielson.org. If you would credit me when quoting my work, I'd be thankful. As I am thankful for your presence here.

A wonderful wish. Being able to go until you drop. Of course like you and I, we know that happens quicker than with others; we’ve nothing left to ‘drop.’ Wonderful poem. And I actually have heard the song 🙂

I laughed when I read your response. You’re right–our energies are so challenged! I’m happy you like this. Thank you, Amanda. I was reminded that the song is featured in the Back to the Future film series.

Ah, probably where I heard it. Those movies are always on TV 🙂

Thank you, sister! The youthful voice is naturally firm–and I guess youthfulness can be expressed the same! Your insight is terrific.

Yes, as I just wrote Mandi. I was talking with a friend last night, who reminded me that the song was in the film. Naturally enough, I could not then get the tune out of my head. At least it’s a fetching melody from, as you say, back in the day. Thank you!
