Moonwalk
I’d like to walk
Along an empty shore
It’s been a while
The matter of
The ocean and me
There might be a ship out
Toward the horizon
It could be morning or afternoon
At night would be okay
Though on this side
The Atlantic’s glory is in morning
The sun rising behind
A water world
The ocean owning everything
The land a sprit behind me
Now is everything
Remade with primordial clarity
The best that it can offer
Or maybe in my eyes
Creation’s lines are blurred
That’s all

It sounds magnificent. I hope you get to see it again.

Thank you! Nowadays (well, after nowadays) all I have to do is get to my sister’s, though she’s many miles away.

Many miles sounds as though that could be an obstacle. It would be for me unless there was a train.

I understand completely, Christopher, “nothing but the ocean and me”. Makes us seems so tiny and yet the sound is very soothing and meditative. Trust you will get there soon.

Thank you, Len. I’d like to see the ocean in the morning. At the least, I guess I’ll have to wait with everyone before traveling becomes a prudent opportunity.

No ocean opportunities here in land locked NE. But sunsets viewed across expansive fields of corn have their special appeal.
I hope you make it back to see those waves soon.

Thank you. I do miss it. Pennsylvania is rather landlocked, too, except for some water at the northwest and southeast corners (no ocean, though). I used to live in Ohio–the hilly part, ironically, for being the Midwest. But I traveled out west some, not to Nebraska, sadly, but to Kansas and to Iowa, and enjoyed the expanses of land and sky there. And the stars at night away from cities.

The joke here is that if you stand on a chair, you can see from one end of NE to the other (lol). It’s not quite that extreme, but yes, the night views can be nice, especially in the western part of the state.
