Loving Cup
Is there more to say?
Certainly, every day
Let’s keep on talking
And let the silence speak as well
All the moments in between
Grace for punctuation

Tea makes everything better. This photo is from a trip to Tamilnadu during November of 2017. The cup always used to fascinate me, as an object that keeps the liquid and helps us consume it.

How are you today, Christopher? I make a pot of green tea every morning, three cups and can’t start the day without it. I was addicted to coffee, drinking umpteen cups a day and decided I needed to break the habit. Some of the time I am also in my cups, but that is an entirely different drink. May your cup always overflow with good spirit: not the kind mentioned in the last sentence.

Thank you, Len, and good spirits to you–of all kinds. I’m all right today. I got a batch of sleep, and I’ll be seeing friends later (safely). I changed from coffee to tea as well. Herbal tea, apple and cinnamon, which to me seems like drinking autumn. Sometimes I miss the flavor and the ritual of coffee, but I haven’t convinced myself to go back. And I’m enjoying the tea. As for the other cups, yeah, I hear you.
I hope you’re feeling fine and you’ll be having a pleasant weekend.

Thank you, Christopher, I am well. Saturdays I spend playing chess with my 16-year-old grandson. We are equally matched, so it is fun for us both. The weather is continuing to be very hot, so lots of reading in the shade.

I’m happy you’re enjoying chess and reading in the shade. Grand activities. It’s hot here, too. Tomorrow’s forecast comes with a warning.
