Because heart disease and the pandemic aren’t enough, I’ve been diagnosed with something more. Not the worst, certainly not the best. More medicine and alternatives to try.

I’m tired
And I’m sorry
And I didn’t get
A good diagnosis
Not that the pandemic
Cares
It’s not awake
It doesn’t vote
It’s doesn’t laugh
In the irony
Of being sick from something else
This is my day, I guess,
To deal
To move around precautions
While I take them
Looking for
I don’t know
New ways, new things
To try
To live new life
Mollified, uncoddled
Looking from inside
As if the world
For good or ill
Is new

We have all forgotten there are other illnesses in the world besides COVID. I commend you for keeping up with your health while some have ignored issues because they are afraid to seek help at this time. i also hope you find a remedy for your issue. The poem was extremely toughing.

Thank you! Yes, I know other folk who are having trouble getting treated for conditions and problems other than the virus. Going to the hospital becomes for them (for us) an (extra) excruciating challenge. Not to blame those suffering with the virus–but everyone who needs help, well, needs help.

Hmm, heck. I’ve been worried about you. I hope it’s something you can deal with. This pandemic makes everything harder. The isolation of things on top of health challenges. Dear.

I’m glad (at least) that you have seen doctors and kept your appointments. At the moment, hospitals and doctors’ surgeries are not the safest places to be. While commiserating with your diagnosis (nothing in life is ever ‘fair’, is it?) I’ll still be pleased that it isn’t the worst.

Do you have people to help you?? Do you have a support system?

Sorry if I’m intruding or if I’ve said something along the way out of line…
