Equinoxic
x
Is it really in the sixties?
That is so nice
Today or tomorrow
Is the equinox
And fall will be official
We want it to be fall, I think
The leaves to turn
The air to be a challenge
Time for coats
And yellow schoolbuses
Easier to see
Take care
Autumn has its challenges
Practice looking out
For trick-or-treaters
First frost

The fall is my favorite time of year. Though today rain and low pressure have my head pounding some. 🙂 I always loved the line in You Got Mail where Tom Hanks says, “don’t you just love the fall? It makes me want to buy school supplies. I’d send you a bouquet of freshly sharpened #2 pencils if I knew your address.” I suppose it IS school. I always loved going (well not every day, I skipped some in high school to sit in IHOP with my best friend and drink coffee all day), but loved college, grad school, teaching. School, the idea of always learning….fall was always a new beginning. I don’t have that anymore either, so I read your blog. I still love Halloween. I dress up like a witch–perfect casting, don’t you think? 🙂

Happy fall! I’m sorry for your head. This is my favorite time of year, but it is sometimes hard on the sinuses. When I taught, I always felt a charge on the first day of school. I still try to justify buying school supplies.
Not perfect casting but fun casting. I’m keenly fond of Hallowe’en as well.
