Unwound

After conflict
There’s thinking
It should have never
Happened
Cooler, take indifferent
Heads should have prevailed
At the start
Before
Before the mess
The knotted
And unraveling,
Twisted the way that
Things twine now
x
Not in the midst of
What’s going on
There’s getting by
Day to day
Hoping to wake somehow
Into something new
Something
Miraculous, so filled
With grace
That penitence
Weeps for relief
x
Somehow with
An uncertain thread
From Ariadne
Now betrayed,
The maze
Should be resolved
And we
Regain
The air outside

Once all those tangled strings get knotted it is very hard to rewind!

You’re right! What to do. Thanks.

Cut those knots loose and rewind! :>)

Yep! I guess I wrote about that in the next posting.

Usually a new start can be made–sometimes you need to leave circumstances behind.

You’re right, Lynn, small starts are one thing. But a start requiring big change is daunting. Like being on the edge–and what’s ahead?–Christopher

You seem to have started a little thread, Christopher, hopefully, Dwight, Lynn, and I can be the Ariadne’s to your Theseus and help you escape the maze. Isn’t this what drives our humanity, the fight or flight syndrome. We either fight back or step away from the conflict. We have to decide if the conflict is worth the trouble or to leave it behind and move on. Good luck with whatever you decide.

A thread with a thread! That is special. Yes, I imagine it’s a good impulse, fight or flight, that can stand to be trained and refined, if possible. Via companionship would seem the better way. The worth–before, in the middle, and after–is a helpful criterion in deciding.
My thanks to you and Dwight and Lynn. My best to you and to you all!
