God’s approval
how do we deal
knowing
that it’s coming
that
it’s here
and mostly by ignoring
it would seem
though
approval is a form of love
and maybe
there’s forbearance
too

as for the WordPress poetry function, it continues awry; I've end-run around paragraphed lines I didn't ask for, and maybe that will work for now
more of an entry than a poem
sorry
hot
no sleep
no rest
since we can rest consciously, I think
no food
a little water
watching the left margin
lean toward the right
on the page
that is
the screen
it’s alredy too hot for summer
and
by meteorology
the season’s only started
then by
the
calendar there are several days to go
roughly two and one half weeks and
why
is it so hot right now
past the heat of the day
too
well
fluids will help
some good
and I’ve had both
and soon
to take
some pills
and apply patience
the heat will peak
more
so
it’s the ongoing matters for which
patience to apply
I guess we know that hardly
anything new
for wisdom though I recall
now
once a conversation with a friend in schooldays
of a while
and
I was told of a hard family situation and my
friend’s role in that
then how
the patience used ‘til then was almost
gone
and what
to do now for such a favor
to which I impulsively replied
again
no real wisdom
but
that at this moment is when patience is really required and
not so much before
which made a
difference
and
could make a difference now except
I still can’t credit
much the
source

the flower you may know (I wouldn’t) as impatiens; I picked for a pun, since I don’t know of a flower called patience (hah); impatiens grows in colors more than Christmas
tomorrow, a post briefer and more versicle

I pray to God
And Jesus
Rarely directly to
The Holy Spirit
Sorry, Spirit
Though it seems
I’m talking with you
All the time
As an indication
A reality
Of indwelling
x
You are the nearest
The closest part
Of God
In fact, in me
While I know
It’s three in one
But for all I know
It might be
That you are the part of God
Who is the most patient
Part
(indwelling)
And who somehow
Loves me best

Friendly Persuasion
Everyone is waiting for you
No one is waiting for you
No one ever waits
Waiting is prerogative out
Of necessity
If we can choose to stand still
For a time, we have done
Well, if
Uncharacteristically
Anyone who thinks waiting
Is a choice
Against
Seeming inevitability,
Well,
She or he is on to something
It’s a choice as opposed to
Stamping feet or yowling,
Thinking that would
Change anything
Or a create a surrogate procedure
(though one could place an ad)
Patience as a rule
Should be a rule
There is another aspect
That is waiting as attendance
Wait on a table
Wait on a family member
Or a friend in need
Wait on the Lord
This is service
On the whole, it isn’t bad
It numbers as a virtue
Sometimes we wait for numbers, too
Hey, I know
I’ll wait with you
