Bread of heaven, Bread of heaven,
Feed me till I want no more;
Feed me till I want no more.

Elijah fed by ravens
comes
to mind
and
is this a story with a message
during drought
to count on

God through ravens or
what have
you
providing

and I don’t know
there was given bread in the wilderness
by
precedent and Elijah
would have known
of
course

and should we run off to the desert
expecting life preserved by
miracle and
who
knows but Elijah
and Moses before could expect
something and so move
by
faith

and
for the rest
who are neither
and are
not
Miriam or
the widow of Zarephath who
wonders until
in her home enough bread was given
certainly more
than
normal expectation

and so
who then times miracles and
who
may expect
or
to live in faith
regardless

which
might be the way and
not
to test God
but
to know God loves and is with us
and provides

as God’s will directs and is
directed
