Earth out
last one here
before the last ship leaves
think about
turning off the lights
who knows
we could come back
or someone
to try the switch
light up our story
if only
a little
while it’s so hot and hard to breathe today

Treading Dawn
x
First I think upon
The violet sail
Then the dragon’s head
That sees
Where we are going
But keeps its secrets
Then to notice that
The ship is moving
In the picture
Feel the air
Taste the air
It tastes of salt
Pure crystals from Narnia
Or a zone of it
Or the unbounded sea
x
It’s wet
I’m wet
And there it is
The last allowance
The rooms fills
We leave the world
To go to this one
However attached
Unattached
(its own)
To fall upon the deck
Or into the water
The kindly crew will help
Though there have
Been enemies
Fallen from outside
x
How might I prove
Intent?
Salute somehow?
That will not be enough
With the ship
We undulate
Upon the sea
While they make up their minds
My pockets empty
No weapons
(that might help)
I’ll sit here
On the melodious wooden deck
A while
While they decide
And should this be the start
Of another chapter
Either way

To Pilgrim
(at Thanksgiving, USA)

Pilgrims
On Thanksgiving
x
We make fun
Of their hats
And buckles
x
They might as well
Have been a foreign
People to the
(rest of the)
Whites as all the
Indigenous to
The whites
x
And they were:
They were a foreign
People
x
They carried faith
And dignity,
Faith in dignity,
To what all the western
Coastal, European
People called
A new world
x
Through stratagem
Or accident, they
Settled too far
North
x
They struggled;
They strove
x
Everything was
Struggling and
Striving to them
x
Moving, going
On their way
x
For them, to be
A pilgrim was
An action
x
On a journey
Neverending, ‘til
The end of this life
Start into another

It was 22:39, I went out to get some fresh air after some coding session then I saw a big moon on the sky, so I grab my camera then go to open space to shot this picture. The photo was taken in Tangerang, Indonesia.

Liftoff
Late
I’m driving home,
High-beams
Looking out for
Deer whom I
Might then drive
Around
Yellow center
Lines with white
On either side,
Bushes and trees
Farther off still
Line the road,
Marching back
In layers of green
And black that
Make up the
Horizon, too,
Which I see in
Front of me
Then—I hadn’t
Thought of
This—the moon
Rises in my
Direction (that is,
The way I’m
Going) behind
Dark verdure
Rows
Half-disc bright
Red-orange
Startling the
Sleepy countryside
Into becoming,
As if in an
Astral spell, a
Rising plain of
Backlit silhouettes
Sentinel at night
Ascends like
An ancient mother
Ship leaving
The quiet earth
Where it has
Hid, now taking
Its watchkeepers
Home;
Maybe, too,
A matriarchal
Ark as well, bearing
DNA of flora
And fauna,
Gene-tracings
In chromosomes
Of mitochondria
Lifting all toward
Freedom of
The Earth, carrying
Our errant
Molecules through
To what we say
Is outer space:
Passing other
Spheres of cosmic
Condensation,
Asteroids and
Planetoids and
More substantial
Yet nascent
Un-wakened
Denizens of
Rock and fire
Cradles for
Star-making,
Entering nebulae,
The vessel-charge
At last and
With a knowing
Satellite’s prophetic
Discretion,
Diffuses organic
Atoms inside
Entropy-laden
Stellar capacity,
Static potential
Wanting alien
Life
To incite and
Render systems
Viable for carbon
Habitation;
And so
Our lives together
Evolve into
The future of
World-making
