twenty-five dollars ago
in a frozen land
I bought it

that was graduate school

and now by decades
having accumulated so much more
than Ideals allow furniture
on Earth
and so
picked up this morning

now is gone

I could be sad
over dreams of reupholstering

though
relief sublimates the wishing
mind
