A is for Allegory
Once there was a dog
Who drove a car;
The dog gave rides
To all the cats who
Wanted rides
The dog is the faithful
Part of me;
The cat is need in you,
Which cannot be expressed
While the state of cat gets
In the way

A great way to express emotion. Lovely verses.
Best of luck with the Azs.

Awesome Allegory, I enjoyed how you used ‘cats’ and ‘dogs.’

Thanks, Mandi. I grew up with cats and dogs and, for good or ill, tended to treat them as persons.

Haha. I completely understand. I’m not such a cat person but I had two dogs growing up. Spunky a Chihuahua- Terrier and lived to 17-years-old. She was cute but she always wandered and took off. After we had Nikki an American-Eskimo and Terrier. Loved that dog, she had such personality. But she got sick and passed away about 3-years ago now just turning 12. Trying to convince my Mom to let me get a little dog but no luck , I think if I’m at home 🙂

Wonderful Allegory, Christopher. I grew up with cats, too, and personified them, so I understand ☺️

Yes, you do! Cats are our friends if sometimes contrary.

Cats and dogs personified creatively! Great take, Christopher! 😀

Thank you, Rosema! Anymore, it’s hard not to see most animals in a personified way. And the dogs I’m caring for right now have plans, I’m sure.

Ohh! That is a bit fun to think of! 😀
