The Good News in Straightening Up
I have cleaned
I have picked up
Washed things
Put things large and small
Away
Sun arrives, maybe only
Passing through
But I see blessing in the timing
Calm and peace are lit
For the time they’re here
I am sore
But inclined toward watching
Surfaces
Feeling energy and a little
Healing from the shine

” A little healing from the shine,” I can relate it is more difficult to do housework when you have a condition that limits your body. And it is more exhausting to do cleaning, especially bigger spring cleaning. But I love your last line because you talk about that feeling of satisfaction and clarity you get from a clean room. It just feels better. Well done.

Sorry to hear about your sunshine. The sun’s supposed to come out this weekend and probably be hot for me. But it probably wouldn’t seen hot to you. Oops.
