Dawn-Calling
Who calls dawn
One bird, two birds
I hope it’s at least two
No one should have
To call the new day
All alone
At such a time, there
Should be company
And, if it works out,
Friendship through
The morning
That’s how I’d like to
Start the day
With someone near
To know me now
When the day begins

*Tweet-tweet-tweet* that in bird language means – pick me 😀 😀 I want to keep being your friend. 🙂 And let us call on others, the more the merrier the dawn!

You’re picked, friend! And let’s bring in the others. Dawn is better when there is more singing!

🙂 Aww! This is such a simple, beautiful poem. I hope there are at least a score of ’em happy, friendly birds. 🙂

I laughed when I read your word-play. I heard birdsong at dawn and wrote. I couldn’t tell if there were more than one bird and hoped there was companionship.
Thank you, sister-friend!
