Prayer for Angry Neighbor
x
I’m going to ignore you
And pray for you
That you find what you want
Not as you want it
(sorry, that’s a spiritual rub)
But as one perfectly
Provides
And you are happy
As you’ve never known
x
I guess that’s not
So much ignoring,
After all
It’s the other stuff
The stuff that you throw
Down as if to say,
Challenge me
I’ll take you on
Though what you want
Is brittle
And could shatter
With what is left
Call them fragments
Call them splinters
Call it defeat
x
That’s probably too much
To pray for now
To keep it simple,
Pray for peace
On the inside for you

Yes. May they find peace. So needed in our world right now. So many in pain.

Thank you, I think peace is needed with this person. So let’s hope for that.

Literal neighbor? Or metaphor? Or both? Nice prayer (as long as people are not silencing you) — got to find a nice mix of freedom and peace — very hard to know how far to carry each. 🙂 But I hope things go better either way. A new neighbor maybe?

Lynn, hi–literal and figurative. This is the neighbor who’s been persecuting me with noise. The reason that I have to move. I haven’t found a place yet, which is frustrating. But it’s a bad time to be looking. So I’m stuck here for now. I’m trying to let the noise go and my anger toward the person. Thank you for the comment about silencing. I have been silenced by the landlord who think she is great and I must be lying. For your encouragement, I’m grateful. And I hope you are having good days.–Christopher

I can relate to how you feel, Christopher, I am also sensitive to noise, whereas some people thrive on it. Trust you will find your oasis soon.
