I prefer Christopher in conversation. In writing, I use C L Couch because it’s a genderless form of my name and, frankly, easier—I have severe writer’s cramp. I mean to be a poet writing spiritual and occasional verse. The photographs used permanently here—for the banner, for my profile—were taken by Debra Danielson, a photographer and friend. You may enjoy more of her work at debra.danielson.org. If you would credit me when quoting my work, I'd be thankful. As I am thankful for your presence here.

Dear Christopher, first of all, thank you for commenting on my blog from time to time, that always makes me very happy. And so I would like to leave a comment on your blog today. I love haikus and this one enchants me with its simplicity. In its simple intensity and truth. Thank you very much.

Manuela, hi, and thanks for your comment! I truly appreciate your affirmation of my try at haiku. I certainly like your site and have shared it with friends who live in Germany. I’m glad you share so much that’s happening that we may attend and enjoy. I find your own work impressive and admirable. Your use of color, texture, and shape is wonderful. Thanks again!
