the day before
the year before
yesterday was Mothers Day
and while
I don’t mention all occasions
how could I
I could have mentioned this one
if
for me it an odd day
a memorial day
in fact
my mother died in the 1980s when she was
too young
though who is young or old enough to die
of cancer
but she did
lived two years more than the doctors gave her
so
that was
something and
it was
a set of holidays and no reason to have
visitors
to go out
sometimes
too
to talk with family and church folk
to
make some arrangements
though the budget was uncertain
so this is not about me
accept it
is
the family
and this is how I go through the day

the drama
we are born of the Earth
breathed through

divine exhalation
we rise
one and then the other
we are introduced and given tasks

the demon part in our exitence
should carry on and taken
through to the midst of Armageddon
when
as prophecy decided
and yet played out
there is a final battle between
Michael and
itself
when it is thrown for good
out of sight
only to dwell in God’s mind over lost
creation
and lost love
while our redemption is at hand
to do our part
believe
accept the grace of mercy
as
a fitness for heaven
and
the Earth renewed
who knows
maybe for us
to have the home we’ve had as
the home that was made
except
for evil’s and
for will’s intrusion following
the evil
as well as inventing our own
now
the Earth anew
as on another world the ideal might be
ancient
but now for us and for all the days
succeeding
move forward with everything that’s good we have
and
love our lives in every way
each other and by mercy
means of grace
return to the communion that was the way

I’m back
not from leaving Frodo off
to sail to a healing land
but
from hospital
where I got some new parts replacing
olf and tired
and need rest themselves
like me
from time to time
no Mordor
but
the operating room
where they were helpful
introducing
themselves and telling me what
they
were doing
then I feel asleep
dreamed
dreams
then woke up no longer there
in dreams or in
the O.R.

a drug
a cut
some work on the heart
I guess it’s okay
except for risk

I’m claustrophobic
maybe the drug will keep me

side of things

than the other parts of this

either way the immediate things should
be done with recovery

which I guess will be a big bandage
on my chest

I’m nervous over an operation I have tomorrow
I’m nervous when you have operations
valleys of fear
fear
the Lord
so we won’t fear on Earth
and yet
we’re human
and we will
I think I’ve read that
fear is not of God
which
sounds ominous for all we have it
and
have it closely
well
we’re flawed
blame everything
and
yes
I think it all gets better when
we’re well
and
when we’re well for good
sigh
and I’ve done a little checking to distinguish
fear
the spirit of fear from Timothy
the fear not
given us
the fear that begins
wisdom from
Proverbs that is
the fear
of God
and I’ve thought the second fear
is awe
and should we ever meet
in the same room how
would we
fear the Lord
when
even angels address fear as in fear-not
severally when they appear
fear
don’t be afraid
keep the wonder
maybe
the truth closely of God
and
God with us
and
yeah
I’m still worried for tomorrow
and I worry over you
