In conversation, I prefer Christopher. My mom named me after Christopher Robin, after all. In writing, I use “C L Couch” (or, more simply, “c l couch”) because the form is genderless and also frankly easier to use. I have awful writer’s cramp. I am an educator more or less retired, more or less due to disability. At present, I live in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania (USA). My writing here I mean to be occasional and also devotional. Either or both. The banner and profile photographs are by my friend and peer Debra Danielson. More of Debbie’s work to be enjoyed is at debradanielson.org. Thanks to each of you and both and all for coming to my blog.

I can relate to this with the smoke we have been enduring from forest fires a five hour drive away.

Yes, the smoke is a problem. I guess the symptoms radiate by severity with nearness. Hopefully, the fires will be contained and everyone feeling better. Thanks so much for responding!

I hope that you feel better soon, friend : )

Thank you! Something’s been lingering on top of other things. I hadn’t thought about the smoke from Canada, which I imagine is a constant health challenge that might vary with the wind. I’ve probably gotten used to seeing it. I hope you’re doing really well.

I am sorry you are dealing with this!

Thank you! A guess is that is an effect of the smoke from wildfires, that are an issue here. Worse as it gets closer and then dangerous. I need not to get used to it being around. And try to watch whatever else is going on. Anyway, I hope you’re really well. I enjoy reading your work. Your narrative voice is strong.
