have I said anything for you
today
that helps with war
or other parts of Earth that burn
you know
without
the inspiration

too easy to say far from us
unless
too close and there is no time
for
anything but dread and
then
the consequence

how we shall be changed and then
what words
we’ll
need if any
maybe none we’ll think
and
what language is the thought
or
dream
regardless

changed by the world
and whatever is
valued there
that is
the here we seem to have

except when something’s lost then we
might wonder where
we are
since loss is left with us remaining
then
to deal

and what shall happen then
hopefully bind
and
survive
and find that after pain
there is that formal feeling

maybe
or we go right
to intimate
to
grieve
and then go on except that’s nothing

dropped that is important
on
the inside
we will bear it all

the capacity of human and we may
say
of love
